Just a quick note...we had a most MARVELOUS morning...and our afternoon wasn't too shabby, either! I couldn't believe how attentive and on task the 1st graders were this morning! We got SO much work done!
We keep hoping we will get to start Successmaker on our computers, but we have run into a few glitches with our technology. Therefore, the problem is being worked on, and we are making a few adjustments in the room until everything is ready!
Students had the opportunity to use the Ipads today for the first time this year. They practiced Hungry Fish for a bit. Once we get into spelling words, students will have the chance to practice their words on the Ipads using several apps. But, for now, we will be practicing our math facts!
I so appreciate the many prayers from all of you! The routine is coming, and so are a bit easier days...I don't have to spend as much time on procedures and can do more teaching--yay!
In art today, we learned about the color wheel, primary colors, and secondary colors. We will spend more time on God's gift of color in the coming weeks! Hopefully I can get the wheels hung up in the hallway soon and can post a picture!
I will draw for the chocolate winner tomorrow evening...so comment away! Right now, there are only a few entered!
Have a great evening!
Blessings,
Mrs. Stam
