Ok...so maybe it didn't seem quite"epic" to me, but as we left music yesterday, one first grader thought so! As we were saying our "Terrific Tuesdays" to Mrs. G. on our way out her door, a first grader piped up and said, "How about 'Epic Tuesday'? I think it could be an epic Tuesday!" I just had to chuckle to myself! I'm glad to hear that first grade is so impressive!!
It's been such a lovely couple of days so far this week...it's so much cooler and comfortable in the room. I don't have to have all four fans on high, and then try to teach over the sound. Having the fans turned down also cuts down on some of the student chatter as well!
We are also able to get more done with full days. I don't feel as rushed to cram everything in! It is just so nice to finally start to get a routine and in the swing of things!

This year, I am trying a marble jar as incentive for the students. I have a large jar poster on the wall that I can put paper marbles on. When the jar is full with 100 marbles, we will have a popcorn party. Students earn marbles by staying on our green apple all day, but using the restrooms quietly, by getting a good report from Miss V.K. or Mrs. G., or by just generally impressing me!
I have included a picture of what the marble jar looked like on Friday...and it is even more full today! Keep encouraging your student to make good choices...I have been impressed with many of them this week!
Alrighty...it's time for me to get busy here at home! Don't forget to comment! This week you are competing for some CHOCOLATE! Have a great Wednesday evening!
