Hello, again! It's been awhile!
I thought I might catch you up to speed on what's happening in our room, particularly in Bible.
We have spent a little time learning about the days of creation; and then, we talk about a bite. "The bite." The bite that changed our world. Our discussion included what the world is like now with sin, and how even babies are born with sin in their hearts.
We talked also about how God did not leave us in this sinful messy world without hope; He would send someone who would "crush Satan's" head. This, of course, is Jesus! We discussed how he didn't step on a snake, but rather died, came back from death, and beat death and Satan!
I have also explained to the students the word "descendants," so that they understand what it means when I refer to it throughout the year in Bible. I explained it in the context of stairs, and going down stairs. Maybe checking out the picture of my drawing will make more sense!
I encourage you to take some time to discuss some of this with your child! Show them the picture and have them explain it to you! :)
What a joy and privilege to be able to teach this! Such a joy to be in Christian education!
Blessings,
Mrs. Stam
